



KEITH HAWLEY BIOGRAPHY
Keith began dancing at the age of 8 with Janet Neilson then at the age of 10 moved to train with Sandra Breen in Brisbane Queensland becoming a professional dancer at the age of 18.
Keith moved in to Musical Theatre and commercial dance throughout Australia and overseas appearing in musicals such as West Side Story, B&W Minstrels, Sugar Babies, La Cage aux Folles, Mikado, Danny La Rue and many more. He worked on numerous commercials and films - Happy Feet, Bootman, Three Stooges, TV commercial and various television shows.
Internationally, Keith worked and choreographed for some of the biggest names in the entertainment industry: Kylie Minogue, Tommy Tune, Arthur Lawrence, Marcia Hines, Gary Mc Donald, George Miller, Hugh Jackman, Eddie Bracken, Sandy Duncan, Marcia Hines, Jackie Love, Rhonda Burchmore, Diana Ross, Tom Burlinson and choreographed Kelley Abbey in Sweet Charity.
Alongside his dance and choreographic career, Keith begun working in photography, art and fashion design creating his own label. He photographed for Dance Train magazine, head shots for programs and general portfolio work with a vision on creating something fresh and new.
Keith became Artist in Resident at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts establishing himself as a choreographic and creative force winning the Hong Kong Dance Alliance award for choreography – Musical Theatre ... the first time in the history of the awards. He established himself as a creative source for the Asian corporate market and attracted some of the biggest clients throughout Asian – BMW, PwC Hong Kong, LV, Mont Blanc, Aedas, Cathay Pacific, HSBC, HK Land, Landmark HK, Swire to name a few.
Keith created a pivotal role as Senior Entertainment Manger for the Venetian Hotel Resort Macau where he was employing up to 200 dancers from all over the world. Creating and producing on average 37 shows and 44 events per annum, Keith was then head hunted to work for the acclaimed Franco Dragone as Resident Artistic Director - one of the largest and innovative entertainment companies in the world. He also was Director and Choreographer for Bug Symphony with the City Chamber Orchestra Hong Kong winning the YAM award for international public choice.
Combining a plethora of skills, Keith Andrew Hawley has embarked on his own journey as a creative, generating a unique signature to his style and point of view. He lectures nationally and internationally in Creativity / Concept Development, Choreography, Staging, Motivation, Direction and continues to create work across a world stage.
